How to Change My Password with Password Manager

- Open web browser and go to http://helpdesk.solano.edu/QPM/User/Identification/
- At the site, in the textbox labeled “Enter your first, last, partial, or logon name:” enter your username, First Name, or Last Name.
- In the textbox labeled “Enter the characters you see on the picture:”, enter the characters that appear in your web browser below the textbox from the previous step.
- Once all the information has been entered, click the “Search” button.
- If there are multiple possible matches, a list will appear of users. If you get this page, locate and click on your username. If your username is the only match, this page will not appear, continue to next step.
- On the Welcome Page, confirm that your name is correct at the top of the page.
If it is not correct, please leave the page and start this procedure over.
If you cannot locate your account, please contact your administrator. - If the information is correct, click on the “Manage My Passwords” button.
- On the Enter Your Password Page, Confirm your information is correct in “Domain” and “Username” textboxes.

If you cannot locate your account, please contact your administrator. - If the information is correct, enter your current password in the textbox labeled “Password:”
- Once the information has been entered, click on the “Next” button.
- On the Enter New Password page, ensure your new password that complies with the Password Policies.
Password Policy:- Your password must meet some minimum complexity and formatting requirements. Those requirements are as follows:
- Your password must:
- Be exactly eight (8) characters in length.
- Contain at least one upper case letter.
- Contain at least one lower case letter.
- Contain at least one number.
- First character of your password must be a letter (upper or lower case)
- Contain at least one of the special characters listed here:
- !^-_+~\[]{}:/?.
- Your password must not:
- Contain five consecutive letters of a dictionary word
- Contain any part of your username.
- Examples of Acceptable Passwords:
- Koo:g7su
- ze?qu3Mi
- Your password must:
- Your password must meet some minimum complexity and formatting requirements. Those requirements are as follows:
- Enter your new password that complies with the Password Policy in the textboxes labeled “New Password” and “Confirm New Password”.
- Once the information has been entered, click the Finish Button.
- If your password complies with policy, you should see successful page.
If you receive errors, please double check your password to ensure it is compliant, and try again.
